I have received many requests to post a blog on the type of week Jackie Bradley Jr. has had and I couldn’t think of a more worthy topic to write about after the hot streak he has been on.

During the latter part of last season, Jackie Bradley Jr. had a stellar month. From August 9th through September 7th, Bradley strung together 37 hits with 24 for of them being for extra bases. He was on an extra base hit tear, which made him seem like a completely different player from the combined .196 average he put together in his first two big league seasons.
This past week we have seen something that we caught a glimpse of last season. Since last Sunday, Bradley has 10 hits in 27 at bats, seven of which have been extra base knocks: one homerun, three triples, three doubles, two walks, and nine RBIs. He has increased his average from a less than impressive .222 to a respectable .272 during a seven-game stretch.
Here is Bradley’s 2nd triple of Saturday night:
As a result of Bradley’s last week in April, he finished the opening month of the season batting .272 (.500 with runners in scoring position), six doubles, four triples, one home run, 13 RBIs and an OPS of .807.
Is Bradley trying to tell Red Sox Nation, that last August wasn’t a fluke? Jackie Bradley Jr. was undeniably going to be a huge part of this season’s team because of his lock down defense in center field, but with a red hot bat, there is no telling what he can add to the club. He for sure, was a big part of the Sox finishing up this week with six wins.
